0:10 very basic hello world formula in this
0:12 video we are going to use our first
0:14 function a find value function this
0:17 function is used to retrieve value from
0:19 specific records so we will create a new
0:23 formula we click on settings Noor 52
0:26 formulas and new
0:29 this time we will use a safety current
0:32 record formula type on the account
0:34 entity and we will use the classic
0:37 editor we search for find value in the
0:41 functions list all down the shift key
0:44 and click on the function this will
0:47 bring up the formula wizard we're going
0:50 to look for an account where the account
0:53 name is Atlantis and we want to return
0:58 the good of that account the fifth
1:01 parameter is the default value this is
1:04 what would be returned if no matching
1:06 record is found in this instance I will
1:09 use a question mark as this is the North
1:11 52 representation of a null value the
1:15 sixth parameter I will set to true this
1:17 determines if no lock is set on or off

1:24 click generate and the formula has been
1:26 added to the canvas before I click Save
1:30 this function will find an account
1:32 record for the name equals Atlantis I'm
1:36 returning the Google back to the formula
1:38 after saving this formula I was tested
1:42 using the formula tester in the bar as
1:45 this formula only has hard-coded values
1:48 I can simply click on the test button as
1:52 you can see the function has returned
1:54 the good and displayed it if I change
1:58 the formula so that I now want to look
2:00 for an account with the name of STAR
2:02 Labs instead I hit save reopen the
2:06 tester and then retest and as you can
2:10 see I will retrieve a different good in
2:15 the next video I will demonstrate how to
