0:04 hi everyone Mike from Norfolk City here
0:07 in today's video we are going to update
0:09 various fields on a portal case
0:11 submission form and we will update the
0:14 form based on what case type is selected
0:17 by the user for this video it is
0:20 presumed that you have Microsoft Portal
0:22 installed on your environment and that
0:25 you have working knowledge of Norfolk
0:27 tooth decision tables if you do not
0:29 please see the links below for tutorials
0:32 on how to do these
0:35 the formula we will use is this one this
0:39 formula runs off the case entity and we
0:41 can see that it is triggered on the
0:43 onload event and when the case type is
0:46 changed by scrolling up we can see that
0:50 has been set to these two events for the
0:52 portal form I know by expanding
0:57 deployment we can see that the portal
0:59 deployment has been set to a portal like
1:01 so on the decision table here we can see
1:07 that the formula checks the case type if
1:10 the case type is set to problem it will
1:13 display the subject field and it will
1:16 make it a required field as well it will
1:19 also enable the contact lookup field and
1:22 I will add problem to the start of the
1:24 case title if the case type is set to
1:28 question it will hide the subject and I
1:31 will make it not a required field the
1:35 formula will also disable the contact
1:37 local field so the seed is forming an in
1:41 action let's open up a case submission
1:43 form when we change the case type to
1:47 question the subject field will
1:49 disappear and now let's just enter some
1:55 words into the case title to show and
1:57 now when we change the customer type to
2:00 problem the subject field appears and
2:04 the case title has problem added to the
2:07 start of it this has been an or 52 video
