0:04 hi everyone
0:05 Mike from Noir 52 here in today's video
0:08 we are going to show Norfolk to formula
0:10 working with four different interfaces
0:12 the four interface is shown will be
0:15 power ups dynamics portal dynamics
0:20 unified client interface and the
0:24 dynamics after outlook
0:27 note that each of these four interfaces
0:30 work independently of each other which
0:33 is showcasing them all here so we will
0:38 use a real-world example one of our
0:39 clients gave us for this so the business
0:42 scenario is a customer wanted their reps
0:45 to be able to quickly calculate an
0:47 automobile an insurance quote we will
0:51 show how this can be done using one
0:52 formula for all interfaces as you can
0:56 see there are seven business
0:58 requirements given to us and these seven
1:02 rules affect how much the insurance will
1:04 be and they are intuitive for the most
1:06 part so let's have a look so you can see
1:11 the vehicle type how old vehicle is does
1:18 the customer want protection against
1:20 uninsured motorists does the customer
1:24 want medical cover for any crash is
1:29 there a high chance an occupant will get
1:31 hurt in a collision and finally is
1:35 vehicle more likely to be stolen so we
1:40 translated these rules into a decision
1:42 table Alexa as you can see we have moved
1:46 each requirement over to its own column
1:49 like this so whenever a formula is
1:54 triggered the decision table will run
1:57 through each row and any row that is
2:02 true will have its auto premium value
2:05 added to the total auto premium value so
2:10 for example let's say I have a five year
2:12 old sedan
2:14 we can see the sedan means that I get
2:17 300 added to the auto premium and it's a
2:22 five years old so it's between four and
2:24 six so that's another 350 added to the
2:29 auto premium to a total of 650 now say I
2:34 wanted medical coverage to be included
2:36 that's another 700 added which totals to
2:39 1350 so now that we have seen in the
2:43 decision table let's have a look at it
2:45 working in power-ups so we made one that
2:49 would be typical for such a rep so now
2:51 let's just click in here to have a look
2:54 here we can see a number of quotes that
2:57 we've already created or intersect into
2:59 one of them like so and when we scroll
3:02 down we can see that it has a premium of
3:04 two nine zero zero what we're going to
3:07 do now is make some changes and save the
3:10 record on what happens is an officer -
3:13 decision table makes the calculations
3:15 needed behind the scenes and changes the
3:17 record you scroll down you can see that
3:20 it's been updated we also have an email
3:23 being generated which sends the user a
3:25 PDF of the quote this is done by another
3:27 North52 formula which converts a
3:29 standard out of the box template into a
3:32 PDF gray for ease of access for users
3:35 now let's move on to the same formula
3:38 working with dynamics portals we will go
3:42 to the automobile portal page that I've
3:44 set up and you can see that there's
3:48 three pre-made examples here now let's
3:51 create a new one by clicking the button
3:53 here and let's give it a name like
3:59 Ferrari and then let's fill in the
4:03 details like so
4:08 I know that you can see that the premium
4:11 option here isn't actually editable
4:12 that's because we want North52 to fill
4:15 this out for us so let's click on submit
4:19 and wait for it to run as you can see
4:22 the premium has been calculated so now
4:25 let's change some of these factors like
4:27 so
4:29 let's click on submit again and see that
4:33 the premium has been updated
4:36 okay so let's show this decision table
4:38 working with dynamics unified client
4:41 interface here we can see a couple of
4:44 examples that we have pre-made and for
4:48 this video we'll make a new one so we'll
4:50 just click on new and let's give it a
4:53 name Mustang and we'll just fill in the
4:57 details
5:00 and finally one we're happy with the
5:02 quote we feel safe and we can see that
5:08 the premium has been calculated behind
5:09 the scenes using the rules that we
5:11 mentioned before so if we just change a
5:14 few values like so
5:17 and then click Save again we can see
5:21 that it is again calculated and the
5:23 premium has been updated without any
5:25 work on the user's parsh and finally
5:28 let's show this decision table working
5:31 for the dynamics app for I would look
5:33 here we can see a couple of examples
5:35 that we have pre-made inside the app for
5:40 this example we will make a new one so
5:42 we can click on new and now let's give
5:45 it a name like Mini Cooper and then
5:49 we'll just fill in some details
5:54 and then finally we just click Save as
5:58 you can see the premium has been
6:01 calculated behind the scenes using the
6:03 rules we mentioned before if we change a
6:07 few values like so we can see that it is
6:14 again calculated and the premium is
6:16 updated without any work on the users
6:19 party
