0:06 in this video we can look at how you
0:09 create a data package to move
0:11 configuration data such as the subject
0:13 tree so we've navigated to our subject
0:16 tree within dynamics 365 here and we can
0:19 see that I've got a hierarchy here
0:22 data package
0:25 but I want to replicate in another
0:27 environment so what I want to do is
0:28 create a data package for this first of
0:31 all I need to do thing and first thing I
0:33 need to do is create a solution to
0:35 export the data package into so give
0:40 this a display name of subject tree data
0:42 package so you can just use the default
0:45 publisher here and then and give it a
0:48 version one thing good thing about using
0:50 solutions for managing data packages is
0:54 that say you can have those versions
0:57 alongside other changes in your system
0:59 as you make changes to your
1:02 configuration data you can then move it
1:03 from one environment to another so we're
1:07 just going to save and close that to
1:09 create the data package come to settings
1:11 North52 BPA iN52 data package and
1:17 click the new button we give the data
1:18 package a name and then we need to
1:20 associate it
1:22 to the solution that we've just created
1:26 so we've got our subject free data
1:29 package here and then we click Save once
1:33 we do this we're ready to add some data
1:35 to the data package and we can do this
1:37 from the Explorer tab and then we what
1:40 we want to do is we just want to find
1:41 the the subject entity and this will
1:45 bring back all the records within the
1:48 subject tree or the first 50 by default
1:51 we can search for the individual records
1:54 here and we can actually look at the
1:56 hierarchy as well so we could actually
1:59 if we knew which subject records we
2:03 wanted to
2:05 away we could just simply check them but
2:07 because we may be unsure of the
2:10 hierarchy or how many there are in this
2:12 particular hierarchy its it's quite a
2:13 good idea just to expand them here so we
2:15 can just expand all the nodes so we can
2:17 see what the child ones are here and as
2:22 we go down the tree we can see whether
2:24 there's additional ones as well just
2:26 need to wait for that to load so there's
2:28 none of that
2:29 no there while this is loading just
2:33 expand and we can see here we've got
2:35 develops as well and I believe they
2:39 think there's any further down on here
2:41 so all we need to do at this stage is
2:43 check the records that have got the
2:46 little page icon beside them so that
2:48 they indicate records and we want to
2:50 start from the bottom up so that we get
2:53 the the right records selected so we
2:57 just want to check that one and then we
2:58 want to check that data packages so now
2:59 we've got our all the records that we
3:01 want to transport across and all we need
3:04 to do is now let's click on the
3:05 lightning bolt button here and it's
3:07 going to add
3:09 data to the data package itself so we
3:13 can see that two tabs have been created
3:15 in our data package here first one here
3:17 is this subject entity here and these
3:20 are all the records here this is a self
3:24 referencing entity so it's got records
3:27 there reference to other records within
3:29 the same entity so here for the there
3:30 for the parent subject I can contain
3:33 data that because we need to create the
3:36 record first before we can associate the
3:38 parent in those cases what we do hereby
3:42 order for automatically is set this to
3:45 no up or no operation and then we have a
3:48 another tab down here which is the
3:51 subject self referencing update sheet
3:54 which basically then does a post
3:56 operation or post create operation which
3:59 goes in matches the subject row row five
4:03 here adding records with the subject
4:07 road parent subject I wrote four in here
4:10 so you can see there that's going to
4:11 build up so once this is done we simply
4:14 click Save and we're ready to then
4:19 export the solution important to another
4:22 environment and and then execute it to
4:26 deploy it what we can do is use a
4:30 feature in here to change the goods and
4:34 replicate the data on the same
4:36 environment so what I can do here I can
4:38 just quickly select those goods that I
4:41 want to replace I come up to my commands
4:43 menu and then I click gooood switcher
4:46 and then all those
4:48 goods have been changed to new unique
4:50 ones the other thing I'm going to do
4:52 here just to differentiate these from
4:53 the original records is just put a two
4:56 beside each of the name so that when we
4:59 go back to the subject tree we can see
5:02 our new records that have been created
5:07 last one here and then I just need to
5:11 click Save on here save the data package
5:13 and because I'm on the same environment
5:17 I can simply execute this data package
5:20 here and once that's executed it will
5:24 have created another hierarchy within
5:27 the subject tree area so if we come
5:28 along to our settings business
5:31 management open up the subjects we can
5:35 see that we've just created our second
5:39 hierarchy of information based on on the
5:42 data package subject tree here for
