0:01 hi everyone mike from nar52 here
0:03 in today's video we will show how
0:06 multi-sheet decision table
0:07 can be used to calculate the medical
0:10 priority group a veteran
0:12 would belong to this is an example from
0:15 microsoft
0:16 dynamics 365 and it shows how some of
0:19 our decision table
0:20 engine features work easily readable
0:23 with complex calculations
0:25 that can be compartmentalized
0:28 first an overview the va have eight
0:32 priority groups and each of them have
0:34 their own specific requirements
0:37 and being eligible for a higher priority
0:39 overrules any
0:41 lower priority the following are the
0:44 requirements for each priority group
0:48 and this is the second part of the
0:50 requirements for the priority group
0:54 now let's have a look at the decision
0:56 table that has incorporated these
0:58 requirements
1:00 as you can see this decision table has
1:02 seven sheets
1:05 the decision table will dedicate a sheet
1:07 to each priority group
1:09 with number seven and eight rolled up
1:11 into one
1:13 let's look at the first sheet first
1:15 priority one
1:17 if the disability rating is equal or
1:19 greater than 50 percent
1:21 and the va determined unemployable field
1:24 is set to yes
1:25 the medical priority group is set to
1:28 prior to group 1.
1:32 note that the hit policy for this sheet
1:35 and all the decision table sheets
1:37 is different from the default we can see
1:40 that both boxes here
1:42 are checked this means that if any
1:45 conditions are fully meshed
1:47 the formula will perform the action and
1:49 exit the decision table
1:51 so in this case we are updating the
1:54 medical
1:54 priority group field in each sheet as
1:57 the formula will exit
1:59 once one update is performed let's look
2:02 at prior group 2.
2:05 it's a simple check that updates the
2:07 field to party group 2
2:09 if the disability rating is greater or
2:11 equal to 30.
2:13 third sheet prior to group 3 if any of
2:16 these fields
2:17 are set to yes or if the disability
2:20 ratio is greater than 10 percent
2:22 we will update the medical priority
2:24 group
2:27 prior to group 4 is similar if any of
2:30 these fields are set to yes
2:32 the medical priority group is set to
2:34 prior to group four
2:38 in prior to group five we can see that
2:40 there are two ways to be a member of
2:42 this group
2:43 if the first row is not true the second
2:46 row will be executed
2:48 like previous sheets once a row is found
2:50 to be true
2:51 the formula will exit prior to group 6
2:55 is very similar again
2:58 as is prior to group 7 and 8.
3:04 to see this in action let's open up a
3:06 contact
3:09 currently this contact is in prior to
3:10 group five
3:12 and if we increase the disability rating
3:14 to 29 percent
3:17 and then click save
3:20 we can see that the priority group
3:22 increases to three
3:25 going back to the decision table we can
3:27 see that it's this row here
3:29 on this sheet that was found to be true
