0:01 in this video we will demonstrate how
0:03 North52's Business rules engine a
0:05 Microsoft datae model driven app and
0:07 power Pages can be used to create a
0:09 robust solution for overseeing UK
0:11 pension transfer
0:13 regulations this adaptable solution
0:15 could also be applied to other
0:17 regulatory processes globally the
0:19 pensions Regulators guidance outlines
0:21 the legal obligations for managing
0:23 pension scheme transfer requests it
0:25 covers key areas such as member request
0:27 assessment transfer processes and
0:30 safeguards to protect members interests
0:32 emphasizing due diligence it stresses
0:35 the importance of evaluating receiving
0:37 schemes and implementing anti-cam
0:39 measures to mitigate risks with this
0:42 guidance A system can be designed to
0:44 assist administrators in managing
0:46 transfer requests effectively ensuring
0:48 compliance with legal requirements and
0:50 safeguarding pension scheme members
0:52 interests the high level rules are shown
0:55 in this decision tree provided by the
0:56 pension regulator we've taken the rules
0:59 and the decision Tre and further rules
1:01 which determine red and Amber risks to
1:03 build a solution which makes it easy for
1:05 people to apply for a transfer of their
1:07 pension and also automate the initial
1:09 risk assessment first let's look at the
1:11 portal solution that enables a customer
1:13 to apply for a pensions transfer built
1:16 using power pages and North52 rules
1:19 there is no custom code making the setup
1:21 and maintenance very quick the customer
1:24 loads the website and opens the online
1:26 form this form is built using the
1:28 multi-step form capabil ities of power
1:30 pages and North52 rules the first North
1:33 52 component you can see is the quick
1:36 tile functionality rendering a custom
1:38 template for the progress bar as we
1:41 progress you will see it change based on
1:43 the data entered the contact details are
1:46 entered and in the background a pension
1:48 transfer request record is created along
1:50 with a contact record if an existing one
1:53 is not found the next step asks
1:56 information about the receiving pension
1:58 scheme we can see the progress bar has
2:00 updated based on North52 rules another
2:03 North52 rule has executed on load of
2:05 the form and displayed this information
2:08 message when we make a selection another
2:11 North52 rule runs and changes the message
2:14 as well as the form fields that need to
2:15 be completed for the purposes of this
2:18 demo we are not going to provide any
2:19 further information here this will
2:21 trigger risk RS later in the process
2:24 we've moved on to the questions there
2:26 are currently six question forms that
2:28 will be displayed as indicated in the
2:30 progress bar again this is driven by
2:33 North52 rules this can change depending
2:36 on how we respond to certain questions
2:38 we say that someone did advise us for
2:40 this transfer when the next form loads
2:43 we can see that we now have 10 question
2:45 forms to answer and we are on form two
2:48 for this demo we're going to answer the
2:50 questions in such a way to highlight as
2:52 many risks as
2:56 possible there are some fields which are
2:58 not compulsory to complete however a
3:01 warning is displayed this warning is
3:03 shown using North52 rules and functions
3:06 specifically developed for power
3:11 Pages multi- select Choice fields are
3:13 supported by North52 rules
3:16 too as we go through the questions the
3:18 North52 rules are making some Fields
3:21 required and showing warning messages on
3:23 others these are all controlled by
3:25 easyto build North52 decision
3:28 tables the transfer request has now been
3:31 submitted let's go to the Dynamics model
3:33 driven app to review this transfer
3:35 request and process it further now
3:37 acting as a customer service agent I can
3:39 review this transfer request we can see
3:42 that currently the risk assessment has
3:44 not been done as there are no risks to
3:46 find to trigger this I Mark the request
3:49 as having all the available information
3:51 provided using the option on the
3:53 business process
3:54 flow immediately we see the risk
3:57 assessment results and the red and Amber
3:59 Flags which have been
4:01 identified let's review the North52
4:04 rules which identify these risks this
4:07 formula is set to trigger on change of
4:09 the information collection completed
4:11 field on the pension transfer request
4:13 table the first decision sheet is a
4:16 simple rule which checks the value of
4:18 the information collection completed
4:19 field and simply exits all rules if the
4:22 value is no if it is yes the rules
4:25 processing moves onto the next
4:27 sheet this sheet processes the six red
4:30 flag rules as outlined on the pension
4:33 regulator's website which can be seen
4:36 here when there is a match the create
4:39 red flag action is called which in turn
4:42 executes our library calculation to
4:44 create a risk record Associated to the
4:46 transfer request the eight Amber flag
4:49 rules are defined on this sheet and
4:50 similar to the red flag rules each match
4:53 will create a risk record Associated to
4:55 the transfer
4:57 request going back to the business
4:59 process flow we complete the checkpoint
5:01 one stage by updating the receiving
5:03 scheme is not listed this takes us to
5:05 checkpoint 2 which shows the counts of
5:07 the flags as a result of an automatic
5:10 update by North52
5:11 rules because we have at least one red
5:14 flag when we move to the next step the
5:16 transfer is
5:18 refused we've shown a snapshot of what
5:20 can be achieved with North52 and the
5:22 Power Platform for enforcing compliance
5:24 with regulatory rules if you wouldd like
5:27 to know more we'd love to hear from you
